The client required a robust curfew monitoring system for criminal offenders. The objective was to design a sturdy, waterproof housing to encapsulate the sensitive electronics, while maintaining good ergonomics at the ankle mount. A combination of engineering thermal plastics was selected both for its durability and mechanical strength. A single strap mount system was developed to eliminate the need to cut the optic fiber to match different ankle sizes.
